Madhouse

It makes us short track racers look just like what we are stereotyped as, a bunch of backward, no class, uneducated hicks. I find it to be an absolutely worthless program on short track racing. I scripted an outline for a reality tv show revolved around short track racing and it's from a positive perspective, but no one was interested, not SPEED, Nascar Media Group, Hammerhead Entertainment, etc... One of my responses was simply that it wasn't "redneck" enough. I don't know how they get away with this show when Bowman-Grey's a Nascar Whelen track & the mods are part of that series, right?

All Jacked Up…and Standing Tall On MY Soap Box!!!

Like I've stated before... it'll be interesting to see how many of these "new" Nascar fans show up at the HOF, blow right past the racing pioneers and legends exhibits to go straight to the concessions, buy a smoothie, then search to see how much Dale Jr. & Kasey Kahne stuff is on display?

Thank you Mr. Biscoe for the response. I have spoken to Mr. Castles in the past, he's a great guy and I enjoyed our conversation. I need to get back in touch with him. I have not spoken to Ms. Smith, but would care to do such. Might I trouble you in contacting Ms. Smith? I would rather have her blessing before obtaining her phone number, unless you know she wouldn't mind me contacting her? Many thanks,Jamie

Buddy Shuman

Over the past 2 1/2 years, I've (with the help of the Shuman family) been working on a documentary regarding the racing career of the late Buddy Shuman. I have also been trying to induct him in numerous "Hall of Fames" throughout the Southeastern United States. As you may or may not be aware, Mr. Shuman left us racing history lovers a hearty legacy worthy of receiving attention. His story is one of which Hollywood writers only wish they could conceive.I'm looking for any audio bytes, video clips, or photos of Buddy Shuman. If anyone has any resources they're willing to share or sound advice in helping this legend secure his rightful place in stock car racing history, please feel free to contact me.Sincerely,Jamie Jay Starks

To the right of Red Vogt is Bob Osiecki & to his right wearing the two-tone helmet is Johnny Rodgers. Hope that helps.

AFTER LIVING IN THE PAST.........DO YOU STILL WATCH NASCAR?

General

Amen Randy! I've raced short tracks over the past 4 years and there's nothing better than having REAL RACE FANS come up and look at your car, ask some questions and want to chew the fat. And, If I'm lucky, some little one will ask for my autograph, at which point I get choked up because that child, who's the life blood and future of our sport, actually cares about what I do. Nope, I'm definitely no Jeff Gordon, Dale Jr., or a Kasey Kane, but to them, for that moment, I'm as close as it gets. That's part of what makes doing what I love to do worth it all. Of course, winning is the other part. lolHope to see y'all at East Lincoln Speedway this year....oh, and by the way, I'd be glad to sit on the hood of my dirty ole car and talk racing until the lights go out and last trailer before me pulls out of the pits.Jamie Starks#14 Renegade Division
