I was fortunate to be in the stands at Richmond when James Hylton won his first GN race in 1970. Also saw him almost win in 1966 at Beltsville, MD - beaten by a foot by Tiny Lund. Ironically, when we had the Derrike Cope Rabanco Racing shop in Campobello, SC in 1986, James used to come over and borrow equipment for his reopened 1-man shop down the highway.
