Kyle Back in Trucks at Hotatlanta; Will Hornaday Take Him Out?

Current NASCAR

Wonder how much Bruton paid the Candy Kid to run all three series? But, please allow me to re-iterate that my opinion of Kyle has changed since I saw that video of him with the Make-A-Wish kid. I even allow my grandsons to have M&Ms again. As for "Grit Chips" I doubt it. Sort of too close to "Cow Chips" to be appearling. Or, perhaps, that is my warped mind in action again.

Cheaper to Pull for Stewart than Kenseth as Round 2 Moves to Atlanta

Current NASCAR

I was going to comment to this, but decided, after writing a paragraph, I would be better to remain silent. I always thought Matt to be a good guy but I absolutely cannot tolerate anything to do with Jack Rousch. The fact that he supplies engines to Richard Petty Motorsports sickens me, but it has made me feel good to see Marcos kicking Rousch butt lately.

My first trip to Bristol Motor Speedway

Stock Car Racing History

My first trip was 1963. Went back in 1964 and 1965. Went a couple times in the 80s. I loved the track in the 60s. As it got more and more banked and more and more stands, it sort of lost the appeal for me. Guess I'm just too much the old timer.

REMEMBER WHAT I TOLD YOU ABOUT THOSE PANTY HOSE WHEN THEY PRESSURIZED

Current NASCAR

Johnny, so she wasn't lapped by lap 20. It was lap 38so I was a few off. As for Smith wrecking her, I think even she knows it was racing. Watch closely and it sure looks to me like she comes down on him a little. But nevertheless, she got more attention than did Kyle Busch Saturday night.

BRISTOL START

General

I liked it Johnny. Ann and I thought it was done very well. Of course, I'm very, very supportive of anything that is for the good of kids.

What was your handle?

General

I was, and still am, The 20th Century Drifter. My mother was "Mama Drifter".

I still use the CB when I have a really long trip to make by myself. Got me to New Hampshire a couple years ago in unbelieveable time.

BRUTON SMITH SAID IT WORKED

Current NASCAR

Johnny, the only thing that really concerned me about last night was the insistance by Go Daddy Dot Com that all fans remove their shoes and leave them at the gate and Bruton went along with that. Thus Danica's respectable finish. Hope the barefoot fans didn't step in anything.

FAN COUNT AT MAJOR TRACKS SEEM TO BE DWINDLING

General

You are right on point Mr. Mallonee. Without this site, the heritage of this great sport would be diluted with NOS energy drink and buried in duck feathers. Jeff came along and set up this site to honor Paul Lewis, his old friend and mentor and, I might add, one very fine man. This site brought you and I back together 38 years AFTER we used to fight it out on the tracks around South Carolina and Georgia and that has been a joyous reunion for me. It's not so much that we are into "reliving" the past, but we are certainly into "remembering" the past, and it is the people here at RacersReunion who have the stories, first hand stories, to share with all and, hopefully, with the younger fans coming along. I could not believe an enounter with an 18 year old awhile back who professed to being a racing expert but had never heard of Fireball Roberts. Seems his expertise began about 2006. We have much of which to be proud and much to honor here. Keep it up, Johnny. You are awesome and this site much continue to support the cause for which it was established. Thank you for what you do.

NICE ICE BUT JIMMIE DOESNT HAVE ONE

Current NASCAR

Johnny, you may have a point here, but I think Brad has ice water in his veins as well. He is one cool customer. He can obviously drive, and I like his class. I like his class very much! I predicted, in January, that Brad would win the Cup. I know predictions often get lost in the rush, but if he does win, remember, you heard it on RacersReunion first. Oh, and there is NO WAY Chad would ever cheat. EVER! Remember that.

SWEET 16 comes out on top

Stock Car Racing History

Was a good race, but, as you say Johnny, seeing 5 minutes of racing then 7 minutes of commercials all afternoon was disgusting. When ESPN promotes their Sports Center and their Fantasy Football League, they are directing those to folks with an IQ of no more than 10. Wish they wouldn't run those commercials during races. I know commercials pay the bills, but please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
