A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO ALL

Stock Car Racing History

I had intended to start a Forum thread for Merry Christmas wishes but Johnny beat me to it. And, from reading all the posts here already, I'm glad he did. To each of you who have responded, thank you for it is nice to see those expressions of Christmas wishes. Randy, you are awesome, I already knew that. I have read your post three times and find it to be one of the most touching readings I've encountered recently. Thank you for that addition.

To all who follow me here, or to each and every one of you who read these posts, I, along with my wife Ann, wish you a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. 2011 has been a special year for many of us, a sad year for some, but is coming to an end. It is my deepest wish that everyone will have what they NEED for living over what they WANT, although I hope most of the "wants" get satisfied as well. God bless us everyone!!!! Now and throughout our lives.

FINAL RACIN' THROUGH HISTORY FOR THE YEAR COMING UP

Administrative

Thanks to each of you for such kind words referencing ME. However, please review what I wrote. I am very proud to be a part of a show like Racin' Through History. What I may add to that show is very small indeed compared to that which is added by Bobby, Bill, Cody, Jack, Jeff and big D. Being a part of that show is like having Christmas every day for me, or at least every week. I just feel this week's show will be extra special because Jeff will be taking next week off and you never know what he'll have up his sleeve for a special show like the Christmas show. I'm pushing it as much as I can. Here, on Facebook, and on Twitter. You can follow me on Twitter at: legendtim83. Hope this will be the largest crowd ever Tuesday night.

FINAL RACIN' THROUGH HISTORY FOR THE YEAR COMING UP

Administrative

Tuesday evening, 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, December 20th will be the final Racin' Through History radio show on Racers Reunion Radio for this year. It has been a great year with many awesome guests appearing on the show and so much information on our history talked about every week. I can't help but feel this week's show will be so special. A Christmas present, if you will, to all who will join us for those two hours. Hope to see you all on chat.

My Racing "Treasure" / How About Yours?

General

I have far too many treasures from my years around the sport to start listing here. But I can tell you my number one treasure! My memories. All those years and wonderful experiences which, by the way, continue accumulating because of this site and all the awesome folks who hang out here.

Jimmy, that is an EXCELLENT answer. Present it to the proper people.

NASCAR HOF Attendance Continues Downward Spiral - Time for Management Shake-up?

General

Robin, my thanks to you and Tommy for the protection. I had wondered why I wasn't mobbed at the event. It was not until I was leaving, in fact, going out the door of the Institute that I was mobbed. It was quite a scene then. Too bad you weren't there then. I could have used the protection.

NASCAR HOF Attendance Continues Downward Spiral - Time for Management Shake-up?

General

About the only thing I know about marketing is that when I have on the cowboy hat and sunglasses I'm more popular than when I don't so I guess that's marketing. But the HOF experience is worth the time and effort to see that place. I will go again, someday. I still think the HOF needs to team up with Racers Reunion and let us promote them and they, us.

KURT BUSCH TO REPLACE ALLMENDINGER IN #43

Administrative

Bobby, I read that same scenario for the RPM negotiations with Best Buy. However, wouldn't you think that, since Shell Oil is practically the one who told Penske to get rid of Busch, that Best Buy's people would realize what a negative blunder this would be? I still hold out that to be a true "winner" you have to have class to go with the victories. The King does. David Pearson does, Cale Yarborough, Jeff Gordon, Bobby Allison...... I will ask the world in general to present ANY evidence that either Busch has any class whatsoever other than that which may be orchestrated by the PR folks to present an appearance of class.

KURT BUSCH TO REPLACE ALLMENDINGER IN #43

I didn't realize all you good folks were already onto this. Just got word from Best Buy's vice president asking us to "settle down folks, rumors, rumors, rumors". But you know about "rumors", especially in NASCAR. More likely than not to be true.

KURT BUSCH TO REPLACE ALLMENDINGER IN #43

Administrative

Just heard this news. Jayski in reporting it as a "possibility" and Robbie Loomis of Richard Petty Motorsports says they are talking. Would seem to me that such a switch would NOT be a Best Buy for RPM. Oh well, the end of my pulling for the number 43 if and when that happens. Sad day.
