Jim,

Last time I saw the car several years ago, the paint job was pretty close to correct. I have a photo of the car taken a couple of years ago at a car show in Tenn. and it looks the same. The original car was a Calvin Wooten owned car but Calvin and his wife, Effie, are both gone so you can't get any help there. I'm not sure of any family he had but I think they had a son. Maybe someone can help there. Good luck with the restoration. It was a pretty good "clone" last time I saw it. Thanks for helping keep Bobby's memory going. BTW! There was a #4 coach in Mr. Long's collection. Curious as to where that may be.

Randy, is it possible for you to post the pictures of the car that you have? The color of the car I have is yellow with red flames on the fenders - what did it say on the front of the roof...something Wooten? FYI if you look at Richie Evans photos on RR you'll see a coupe, Pinto and Cavalier all together...those are the 3 of the Richie cars I once owned, the Cavalier is now in the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte NC. Go fast, turn left, Jim

Jim in NY thanks! That's what we are all about here at RacersReunion. Keeping the memories alive of the early stock car legends like Bobby Myers. Without people like you and RacerReunion there is a lot of us that wouldn't have a clue who he was.W
Hi again. Now that the mystery is solved and we all know that the 6A is a clone I need help....can anybody tell me the colors of the original car? Glad to report it's in the process of a total restoration. It will have removable lights so that it can be driven to car shows and racing events.

I'm new to Racers Reunion as of today. I'm the guy in NY who bought the Bobby Myers 6A if you're talking about the 37 Ford coach The car was purchased from a guy in TN, supposedly spent 30+ years in a museum in TN owed by Rod Long. Although I bought the car thinking it was an original I soon realized that it was a clone. Knowing all the facts, I'm a little disappointed but I intend to keep and show the car because it represents the good ol'days of NASCAR and a tribute to Bobby Myers. The guy I spoke to was not the owner. He e-mailed me this morning. The owner sold it to a guy in NY. History grows some more.
