It wasn't a team car to Churchill. But it was the car that made ARCA start using at least the long center template at the short tracks. I think this was after the car was "fixed".

They brought the car to Flat Rock one night still (at the time) with the front end so sloped down that there was almost no bumper. There response was always that since it wasn't checked with a template they felt it didn't have to be fixed, also other guys were doing it. Yeah, others were doing it, but not like theirs. So the next night ARCA ran at Toledo, and what was setting in the inspection line? All the long templates, and every car got checked. Most guys just had to do some fairly minor work to fix their cars enough to fit the 1/2 inch allowance. It took Hage's guys awhile to figure theirs out. They ended up raising the hood pins and supports to hold the hood up to the template, Then filled the gap with sheet metal. It wasn't pretty, but aero wise it was "right".
