I have heard for years the vinyl top was left on this car to hide that the roof had been altered in some way. Anyone know what could have been done??? Please share.

One of the theories was that vinyl roof could actually be slicker in the wind,along the lines of what a golfball does while traveling thru the air. It must have failed, as they never tried it again.
