Hi my name is Glendon Hartwell and I am retired Navy currently a disabled veteran in the Norfolk Va area. I served 20 years in the Navy and can honestly say that Ive had a great career serving this country as a Navy Deep Sea Diver and also a Firefighting Instructor.I am hesitant writing you this letter but I really wanted you to hear this story and see if you could pass it on to Dale Jr. The year before Dale Sr. died my brother was to build a secret garage for him (which I heard approximately 10 people knew about) ironically my brother died the Sept. before the accident in Daytona in Feb. My parents still have the blueprints for the garage at home in Ala. I didnt know if the entire family knew about the garage or how to get in touch with them concerning giving them back the the blueprints. I would appreciate any help with this. The second part of this letter is Dale Jr. was scheduled to be onboard my ship one week and I had a rough draft presentation of a race track I have been drawing for about 8 years and I wanted to show him. I am not a professional architect by any means but I have shown the drawings to a select few NASCAR fans and was told that it was a different kind of track but was definitely be a fun stockcar drivers track. (These guys have been watching racing for years.) It started like I said about 8 years ago when I heard the drivers complaining about the same old D shaped tracks Sr., Jr., Gordon and various others and I just started drawing various designs and the tracks sort of came to me. I have 14 that I am stuck on and I promise youve never seen any of these designs anywhere. Im not a professional engineer but have been around racing about 30 years. Although these tracks are different they will be fun to race on and still exciting sustaining high speeds with nice flowing corners but still would be considered oval TYPE tracks and I wanted to show one drawing to Dale Jr. during his visit to the ship and maybe he could have had it built. Who knows you may have had me on TV telling how I came up with them. I wanted to get them drawn up on the computer to see what it looked like before it went anywhere else. They made another plan old D shaped track, (Kentucky) and I consider most everyone was tired of this style also. I am interested in these tracks first being made into a video game and then take the best ones for construction. I want to build something that will make some money. Right? Looking at the tax bills that could help track owners with significant tax breaks maybe this is the time to get people involved in this project. I also dream to have my designs built. People will not be disappointed.Glendon Hartwell 757-467-1339virginia beach, va I also have a Track shaped like the Toyota Emblem and one like Mickey Mouse and also one shaped like a guitar.
