Harvey, Do you remember what color this car was, and am I correct from the view I get from the leading edge of the front fenders that this was a 65 and not 64 Belvedere. I'm particularly interested in this one as a Mopar guy, including the 426 designation on the hood since Nascar and Chrysler were locked in their momentous struggle at this time regarding the Hemi and its use, here apparently in full size form (not 405) in an intermediate bodied car. I wonder if this was a 1965 season race being run in late 1964 as sometimes happened and the ban didn't go into effect until the calendar year 1965, or was it a late 1965 race after the ban was lifted and the 405 CI rule didn't apply to Augusta, or is this a 1966 season race where Friedkin's were running the more aerodynamic older body style, or is it simply a 1965 race and they're running a 426 Max Wedge????I think I just made myself dizzy. lol Anyway, any further info would be appreciated. Thanks again for posting up all these great pictures.Dave B.

Thank you sir, I think a Lindberg or Johan 64 is headin for the bench, with a 65 resin hood and chrome grille and bumper.Dave B.
