Perhaps the best victory lane girl's name of all time: Winky.

Winky would go on to marry the famous Green Bay Packers pulling guard, Jerry Kramer, hero of the "Ice Bowl" against the Dallas Cowboys and author of the books "Instant Replay" and "Distant Replay." Larry Hogan's wife, Jane was the official track caterer around the circuit for Union Oil and Wrangler. Bill France bought a small house near the Talladga track where Jane Hogan cooked for the France family and guests. Dale Earnhardt and I always ate lunch there during Talladega race weeks. The wife of Harry Gant's Skoal Bandit jack man and former Packers football player, Larry Hefner always assisted Jane and worked as a hostess in my Wrangler VIP suites.

Chase or Dave,
Have you seen any of the "Pure Firebird Gasoline" checkered flags that Miss Firebird is seen holding in 1962-1969 Victory Lane photos.
Richard Petty won butch of them.
Did Miss Firebird take checkered flags back home after the race?
I didn't see any on the internet in Richard Petty race museum or the NASCAR Hall Of Fame.

As it became popular to have Grand Marshals for Cup events, UNOCAL's Bill Broderick (Hat Man) would have all drivers autograph the flag prior to the race and it was presented to the Grand Marshal. But, I have no idea about the Pure Firebird flags back in the day.
