This Isn't Fair

Do the drivers care anymore? Where are their heads at? It's been years since Matt Kenseth, Kurt Busch and Jeff Gordon were weekly threats to win races and championships. Now, I know, I know, "The drivers race their asses off every week", and that may be so, however, I feel like the quality of the races has diminished over the past couple of years. Since Brian France took over. Since he took over in 2004, he is your list of champions:

Jimmie Johnson-4

Tony Stewart-1

Kurt Busch-1

Not very exciting,isn't it?

It'd be more exciting if it was something like this:

Jimmie Johnson-2

Jeff Gordon-1

Tony Stewart-1

Kurt Busch-1

Greg Biffle-1

Why Biffle? Because if he were to win a Cup Championship, he'd be the first person to win a Cup, Nationwide and Truck Championship. I want to see him do it before Kyle Busch or Carl Edwards do.

There are only about 6 drivers left to contend for the championship and we are only four races into the chase.

Those drivers are Johnson, Stewart, Harvick, Gordon, Kurt Busch and Burton. But both Busch and Burton's chase chances are slim to none. This is sad. Here is where I think they should race at in the Chase.

1. Laguna Seca (I'd be fun to watch the drivers negotiate the twists and turns of that track.)

2. Texas World Speedway (None of these current day drivers have ever raced there, with the exceptions of Bill Elliott and maybe Mark Martin)

3. Milwaukee (Cup Series has never raced there)

4. Bristol (Bristol in the chase? It doesn't get any better than that!)

5. Nashville Superspeedway (Concrete 1.5 mile oval that Cup doesn't race at)

6. Charlotte (Keep it in there)

7. Martinsville (Another short track)

8. Darlington (This track has always separated the men from the boys)

9. Watkins Glen (Throw another road course in there to mess things up)

10. Homestead-Miami (The end of the season belongs in Miami)

How about that for a messed up Chase? Now this is Jimmie Johnson proof!

For my opinion on the Nationwide Series, I believe that all current Cup drivers should not be allowed to race in it. You don't see A-Rod going to AAA or AA baseball just to tear things up and dominate! If the Cup drivers can't get enough racing, they should race video games (for example, iRacing.) or build tracks in their own backyards and driver cars as long as they want on there.

The Truck series isn't that exciting, either. Todd Bodine has been unsponsored for half the year and he has dominated. What happened to Mike Skinner and Ron Hornaday? That is what pisses me off though, is that great drivers like Ted Musgrave, Jack Sprague, Joe Ruttman, Johnny Benson and Stacy Compton are left to sit at home and watch the races. Put Benson in a competitive truck and he'll dominate the race!

Get rid of Scott Speed. He paints his toenails. LOL

Remember when Mark Martin was supposed to retire? 2005 is the correct answer. He is the Brett Favre of our sport.

Isaac, good to see you back on line and taking an active part in Racers Reunion. I have to agree with most of what you said. When will you be 21? I think that is the minimum age in years (not maturity as proved by the current president) to be president of NASCAR. Would you have a problem living in Daytona Beach? Hang out in here more often.

Once I graduate from college I may move back down south but I'm not quite sure yet. It all depends where the jobs are at. LOL I would love to become the president of NASCAR! That'd be the sweetest job ever!
