Racing one Friday night at Brunswick Speedway in Lawrenceville, Virginia 1957, Butch Torrie was leading the 25 lap feature race when just a few laps from the end he got involved in a wreck with a slower lap car. A tire was cut down on Butch's car number 37 and a hole was punched in the radiator, while the race was stopped under caution to clear the track the tire was replaced and quick thinking mechanic Gearld Barfield shoved a "Old Crow" cork stopper in the hole in the damaged radiator and filled it with water. The race was restarted and Butch won the race that night again. NEVER GIVE UP !

Jack, more than once, we stopped a radiator leak with black pepper, it works!
