I always liked this logo design, it is the 2nd one NASCAR had, the first one if you remember was a oval with flags. I have several pins also with that logo design.But I got your point, money has ruined many sports and now its destroying racing too! Racing will never be the same as we knew it, it is so expensive to race. In 1960 as a car owner my father actually made a profit from racing. After his driver received 33 1/3% of the money they won, and all expenses were paid that year he profited $8,000. from races won without sponsorship.
@jack-carter16 years ago It is sad that the younger generations do not know the history of racing. They come into my shop and see my 1936 Ford stock car and ask me if that is a Legends Car.
