September 10 - This day in Petty history 9/10/67 - Richard wins the Capital City 300 at Richmond for his 6th in a row in 1967.9/10/72 - Richard wins the Capital City 500 at Richmond Fairgrounds Speedway. During the race while leading, Buddy Baker got into the back of the 43, and the King road the guardrail for a while, popped off, and never lost the lead.
