Vintage Clubs to Race in the RacersReunion VCS NC State Championship Shelby, NC

The debut of the RacersReunion Vintage Championship Series (VCS) will be for the NC State Vintage Championship on April 21, 2012 at Historic Cleveland County Fairgrounds in Shelby, NC.

This racing event will consist of several divisions of racing represented by the participating vintage clubs. The rules for each division will be governed by the clubs being represented.

We will inspect all cars for basic safety requirements. A "Safer Racing Guideline" will be published here in the next 3 to 5 weeks, but the things we will be looking for are fuel cells, racing seats, up-to-date belts, properly mounted seats and belts, fire walls...etc.

Any vehicle not meeting the basic "Safer Racing Guideline" minimum will be allowed to participate in the static and/or exhibition portion of the show, but will not be allowed to race.

If you would like to have your vintage club race in this event, please post your contact information here so others with like cars may join you.

Tentatively the following groups are planning to race:

The Bell & Bell Vintage Modifieds

The Carolina Vintage Club

The Old Timers Vintage Club

We would like to have the Flat Head Fords represented along with the ground pounders and any others.

We will also allow the "Frank Kimmel Street Stock" cars to participate. They will be asked to run the same rules under which they race at Dillon Motor Speedway.

More details to follow.
