The sign painter of this car is, without a doubt....... "Lucky of Texas"! The fonts and styles are unmistakable. Willie Davis would adopt the #48 as his own in later year. My dad, Glen Williamson, and Willie collided at Myrtle Beach Speedway in 1970, Willie's car, a powder-blue Fairlane, burst into flames as it did not have a fuel cell. BIG FIRE, scary too, but nobody was injured.
