The totally fearless Pete Corey. In the 50's and 60's on any north country race track, he was the Dale Earnhardt of the day. I once saw Pete Corey, during a Fonda Speedway feature, go off the back straight, roll his car completely over, land on it's wheels, re-enter on the 3rd turn, and win the race. This is a great pic of Pete along side his self built #3 big block modified. This car usually was fueled by Hilborn fuel injection, but looks to have a carburator here. If you saw this image in your rear view mirror, you next five minutes was about to become very exciting. He also campaigned at this time, a twin car, painted and lettered the same, but numbered #1. This appears to be the front stretch wall at Langhorne, PA.
