This was the year he got tapped by Geoff Bodine coming out of Turn 2 and rolled in the infield. He got it back to the pits after telling his crew on the radio, "It ain't hurt, I only turned it over once," then proceeded to describe Bodine's heritage in very clear terms. After getting a new windshield and having the fenders beat out, he returned to the track, and said, "Robert, you'd better keep me away from that little m***** f****** when this is over!"
