First Win after joining 24 team, won by 1/2 lap
"Mansfied Hosts First Clash for Cash" $2,500 to Win
MANSFIELD, OH - Oct. 30-31 - The first annual Clash for Cash was everything it was expected to be as 181 cars filled the Mansfield Motorsports Speedway pit area and a huge crowd for a Halloween weekend show.
The Super Late Models brought the fans to the edge of their seats once again as Roger Black and Tim Ice got together in turn four causing a seven car pileup with only slight damage. On the next restart, things went better as Black jumped ahead of Ice to take over the lead. Dick Dunlevy, Jr. and John Vallo were all over the leaders. As they entered turn one, Dunlevy pushed high and fell back to fourth. Fresh from his second place finish at Shadybowl, Vallo went to the outside of Black on lap 29. As they passed the flagman, Vallo took over the lead in turn three. The Watson Trucking
#24 of Vallo was too far ahead and after 50 laps he was the winner of the Clash For Cash Cavalcade over Ice, Black, Dunlevy, Rick Sheppard, Mack Gribble, Gary Whipkey, John Cline, Warren Thoma and Donnie Renner. Ryan Tedesco, Glen Gault and Black won the heats.
