"VALLO FIRST THREE-TIME WINNER AT KIL-KARE"
XENIA, OH. - June 23 - Fairborn's John Vallo became the first three-time NASCAR Racing Series feature winner Friday night at Kil-Kare Speedway. Driving the Rick Orth owned, Rick"s Automotive Monte Carlo, Vallo beat pole setter Sam Heckman into turn one from his outside front row starting berth and never looked back.
Vallo, the current point leader, steadily pulled away from the field in the caution free 30 lapper to enjoy a half lap lead over the field. Heckman enjoyed his best finish of the year as he kept second all the way, holding off the challenges of Jerry Stapleton, who was third. Carl Stapleton came home fourth with fifth going to Gary Estes. The Timber Wolf hard charger bonus went to Dick Dunlevy Jr. for advancing the most positions.
