On a friday or saterday night, cant remember which, and it was either in Swainsboro or Dublin Ga,thats a mystery too,Harold parked down on the end next to us and the art of readying the cars for the race was on , and his guys put his up on a jack with the wheels off ground and cranks it up and lets it idle while being in gear, well a local good ole boy comes up with his buddy and asks why in the heck they had the car jacked up like that, now that isnt no coke in the can he is drinking but one of Harolds guys looks at him and says we setting the timing for this track, you see we count the times the tire turns over in a minute then we figure how many seconds it takes to go down straightaway and multiply those two and thats what we set the rpm at--- my dad was there when it was told and i just looked at him and duh --but you know that good ole boy just accepted that answer as gold because it came from Haroldscrew and walked off proud of his new knowledge. now thats priceless-----memories
