and just for the heck of it those carberators are not progressive you have to have a flow meter to set the idleing unless you are really really good---im not but that is a fun setup--when one is right there is no other sound like a flat head,if its balanced and got a lightweight flywheel you can ramp the throttle and it will go ballistic and back to idle faster than you can think---makes you do it again just to make sure you didnt miss nothing------------------------------memories

I never raced a flattie but I worked on a bunch. Anybody care to guess what that water pump is for ?
