After WW2 the boys came home in droves all wound up from being gone and most were kinda roudy. Some bought new cars and some bought older ones but the question still arose after a show one night, whos is faster and away they go racing in the back roads and a few towns but finally it was decided that that flat ole field would make a great place to race sooo someone found a long log and tied it behind an old truck and proceeded to make a crude race course and the race was on. Those guys were in part of what lets you set in your chair and watch tv or go for a drive or just about anything your heart desires. The ones that didnt come back we honor them for what they done for us.So next time you see a race on tv or even a film clip of things past or a Saturday nite special at the local track rest assured that all this is in part was accomplished by a veteran or a sibling of one. Our continued freedom to do as we please is in part due to the old racers of our sport so with that said and this blog finished all thats left to say is GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS and GOD BLESS AMERICA let freedom continue to shine------------------------------------------------ memories
