Hi Johnny! Do you have any idea which track this was here in Augusta? The Augusta International Speedway was not open until the 1960's. Thanks, Henry

Joe, would that track also be known as Speedway Park? A portion of the track is still in place and can be viewed bia Google Earth. And, Midnight Speedway was located not too far away on Davis Road.

Joe, this one (Garden City) should also bring a smile to the Riddle family. Also, just put together information on the Dan Bowles Speedway. Will also do Midnight Speedway off Davis Road and the Hayloft Speedway (currently Gordon Park) just as soon as time permits.By doing so, AIRPS will have documented the five former major tracks located here in Augusta.....................then the process begins on the others including Lakeside Speedway located near the current Masters golf course which operated back around 1911. I believe I have found it next to Lake Omstead, but still checking before posting. There is also another famous one located across the Savannah River between North Augusta and Aiken. Again, believe I have located it but I need to verify before posting.
