Hey Kenny,I am pretty sure the 59 is actually my man, Ray Hendrick. Even though it was the car that JE Beard usually ran, Ray drove it a few times, and I think this was one of them.

Unless I am mistaken, Ray never drove the 59. J.E Beard built engines for Jack Tant, which allowed him to use the "patented" flying wing logo for his number 59. J.E. was a talented racer from Wilson, NC who always brought a competetive ride to the NC/Va short track scene in the 70-80's. J.E. was also an excellent dirt track racer who won countless shows throughout the same area.

J.E. Beard later went on to build engines at Lake Speed's Cup shop and built the engine for Lake's only Cup win - at Darlington.
