The reminders of aging becomes more real around 50 but even more so at 60. So, here I am looking at this site and it's value is immeasurable. How do we light this fire again and get new people?
We do not need prizes as such but definitely some education and that really begins at home and starts there. Next is track-relations that underscore the need for track history and by breaking out albums and telling the history through old programs and such we can rekindle excitement and preserve the past the best we can.
I am also a historian for a civilian site that does history on Military people and in this week preserves important history. I have also done the weather for tracks across America and extending back to the mid 80s until now.
East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa is run by race car drivers who are the owners and Al Varnadore, Todd Hutto are awesome people. They run a tight, clean racetrack with an excellent surface and Buzzie Reutimann still races there and is around 74 or so. And competitive.
The phone number for the track is 813-677-7223.

But it is not just East Bay but tracks across America and Canada where I have helped like the Dirt Track in Charlotte, Super Dirt Week in Syracuse, and a host of some 40 tracks.
As well as that I have worked on dozens and dozens and dozens of radio stations as a Broadcast Meteorologist and it is there where I begin to make connections including Knoxville, Iowa and their big events there and their National Races.
So stick with the site everyone. Good things are coming and they will enhance your enjoyment of this place.
