For those of you sequestered on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, it is going to be windy and rainy and that extends down to Myrtle Beach and adjacent areas along the coast.
The storm at present has a minimum central pressure of 1001mb with max sustained winds at 50kts, gusting to 60kts this is barely a Tropical Storm. The configuration of the storm is tenuous and the steering is affected by the High Pressure area to the North. As this relaxes the system will be downgraded to a Tropical Depression which in lay speak is a large Low Pressure Area. Mid-level Cyclone.
The bottom line is mostly coastal areas will be affected and that includes the chance for severe weather. The next 24-48 hours the weather may be unsettled and check your local tracks for the latest of show cancellations and stay tuned here for updates as they become available.

maybe you should be online on race nites or days to update the drivers on when to pit during less than perfect racing weather as in Kansas.
