Yep, this was our 1981 Pontiac Osterlund-built Wrangler Pontiac showcar, repainted with the #3 as Robbie points out in his post after Dale & Wrangler left the Jim Stacy operation for Childress. I delivered a $10,000 check to Stacy at the August Michigan race (Earnhardt/Wrangler 1st race with Childress) to "cover the cost" of Stacy repainting his fleet of former Wrangler cars and removing the "striped" chevrons, which became a solid yellow chevron on solid blue cars (reskinned as Buicks)driven by Tim Richmond, among others.
