Please tell me if im being wrong in any way but i firmly believe this decision could possibly ruin the amazing racer Mr. Brad Keselowski is.I think running against hendrick Horepower is a stupid choice and leaving an organization he fits perfectly into is suicide. and Dodge... come on! I love The entire Keselowski family with all my heart but i strongly believe someone couldve talked him out of this. Please set me straight. i think im losing my mind here.....

well if he could have been talked out of this move i think the all mighty dollar would have done it---that is what this has come to---Brad has the talent no doubt about it -- but the seat he picked had the long term dollar involved whether it be dodge chevy ford or any other because more are coming--if Brad keeps his nose clean and progresses appropriately when his contract comes up for renewal he will have the pick of the litter so to speak --so fear not "Lexi" the little red head is in good hands --shucks maybe he will be the rookie of the year in 2010 --now wouldnt that make you smile --just remember ----------------------------------------memories

Driving careers seem to be more about money now instead of "driving". For young Brad...the question may have been.."Do I want to be a millionaire today...or wait for Hendrick to make me a millionaire when somebody retires or gets the boot". Money "now" is ALWAYS a beter choice than the possibility of more money later.

Lexi, I don't think this move will ruin his career but I'm with you. It seems you have to be in a Toyota or Chevrolet to win in Nascar these days. Ford and Dodge, forget it! Usually when Roger Penske calls, you pick up the phone. His teams are first rate and well financed, just not in victory lane or doing much in the top 12. We all hope it's not about money, but we would be wrong. I wonder if it's a one year contract?Pete

Definetly not the wrong move, Penske is about as rich an entity as Hendrick... in fact he may be better off considering GM's meltdown(how many Hendrick Chevy dealerships are affected?). With the All-Star cast Hendrick already has a payroll for, even to drop one of the drivers he has, how much could Brad earn there anyway. I feel like Hendrick's teams dominance over the sport has reached its peak. There are others, Penske especially, that woud love to knock 'em down.

to add, I know Penske runs Dodges, and Dodge went bankrupt too, but Penske historically never depended on the factory-support as much as others.

Shades of Casey Atwood. Casey was one of the up and coming young stars in the Busch (now Nationwide) series and then signed with Evernham Motorsports in the first year the team existed and where is he now? Running some non-competitive car in the Nationwide series. I think Keselowski would have been better off waiting for an HMS or HMS sattelite team to open a seat for him. I mean Ryan Newman, and David Stremme both struggled in the 12 so I dont see why he thinks it will run much better for him. Even Kurt doesn't run that well in the 2 car. Penske is too focused on his IRL teams. Thats where all his money is invested. But on the other hand who knows when he would have been able to get an HMS ride. In my opinion SHR should have signed him to a one year contract.
