President Ray Fox and the members of the Living Legends of Auto Racing would like to extend their deepest sympathy to the family of Legend driver and race car builder, Curtis "Crawfish" Crider. Curtis passed away on December 21, while in Hospice care. During his career Curtis accumulated 232 starts in the top NASCAR Series, then called Grand National Series between 1959 and 1965, finishing 6th i...n overall points in 1964. He later went on to short track racing and captured three consecutive Florida State Championships in 1972 to 1974. Curtis also served as the first Vice President for the ARL which is now the LLOAR. A gentle man who was always ready to give a hand, Curtis remained a force to be reckoned with on the race track. He will be deeply missed by this organization and the racing community as well.
