Roxboro Paper : Massey winner at Roseville:Purse is upped July 25,1960
Bernice Massey of Haw River raced to Victory in the 30 lap feature for limited sportsman stock cars here last wednesday night at Roseville Speedway.
Following Massey across for second and third money respectively were Mac Mangum of Roxboro and Benny Davis of Haw River.
Bobby Taylor of Reidsville captured the co-featured 25 lap hobby race with Joe Cameron of Roxboro second and Durham's Gene Porterfield third.
The cash purse for driver's at Roseville Speedway has been upped as an added incentive to driver's competing and to increase the number of cars entered each wednesday night.Track owners announced the increased purse last week and a larger number of cars and driver's appeared.
Racing is conducted under the lights at the Speedway each Wednesday night with the top drivers from a 50-mile radius are participating.
