Recently saw the new Dodge commercials and suspected that, at least part, was filmed at the old Macon Middle Ga Raceway. The orange number 86 in the weeds, was owned by Webb Brothers Racing. I have pictures of that car at Middle Ga. That car also ran at the old 441 Speedway in Dublin. Any of you remember the final years at MGR, I drove the black 45 Street Stock Chevelle, the yellow 12 dodge Late Model that was owned by John Connell. I also crewed for the black 88 dirt late model owned and driven by Ray Miller. If I can figure out how to post pictures, I have many from that era and part of the country. I have slides of Bobby Alison, Jody Ridley, Ronnie Sanders and many others. I also have some pictures of Francis Sullivan and his "Sullivan" blue
#28 mustang. And the one with the police siren. Sadly, I was at the track in Byron when the photographer was killed. A night I will never forget, including the weeks that followed when the drivers went through the crowd to take collections for his family.
Michael,I will give personal "picture posting" tutoring just to have a look at your collection. Were you at our MGR RacersReunion in March?
Well well, another ghost from the past rears their head up to say "Hello". Your name escapes my memory at the moment but I knew John Connell and Ray Miller . I ran out there at MGR and especially 441 when it opened and McRay speedway. On my page there is a photo of the first race at Crazy 8 . Were you at the reunion this year ?? Bob Moore,Tommie Clinard and many others are members here so shout out. Glad to have you aboard . See ya in turn 4
Unfortunately I wasn't aware of the reunion at MGR, but had I known, I would have been there.
