Wake County Speedway 48th Anniversary Celebration Kicks Off This Saturday,March 21,2009March 16,2009Raleigh NC.By Mike Ray and Ms.HotrodThe finest star and cars of the Walls Roofing U-Cars Series will roar into Wake County Speedwaythis Saturday,March 21,2009 as Wake County Speedway kicks off their 48th anniversary celebration.A huge field of drivers from the tri-state region are expected to beat and bang at everybodys' favorite1/4 mile bullring;also on tap will be the Future-stars,the Mini Cup drivers in a special feature.The brandnew;ride a long,show car will be on display plus maybe a visit from "Lucky Dog".The pits will open at8:00 AM with practice rounds starting at 10:00 AM followed by heat races at 1:00 PM with the feature startingat 2:00 PM.Grandstands will open at 11:00 AM with $5.00 general admission;the pit will be $25.00 to WCSper person and $25.00 to the Walls Roofing U-CAR Series Clash.On Saturday, April 11th Wake County Speedway will host the 3rd Annual Precision Walls Easter Egg Hunt andCar Show with over 20,000 eggs hidden and great prizes for the young and young at heart! The next weekend,TheCleveland Draft House Car Show will be on tap;so mark your calenders for April the 16th.Friday,April 24,2009 is this years open practice for all divisions;the Dunn-Benson Ford Super Late Models,theHarper Graphics Limited Late Models,the N.C.Iron Works Modified 4-Cylinders and the Citgo Mini-Mart Stock4-Cylinders plus the support divisions,Legends and Mini Cup cars.The grandstands are open free to the publicplus it's only $15.00 to get into the pits to shake this year's hot rod down.The 2009 Wake County Speedway season opener is May 1st!
