Ted Christopher Wins John Blewett III Memorial At New Smyrna SpeedwayFebruary 10,2010Samsula,Fl.By Mike Ray and Ms.HotrodTed Christopher,Plainville,Ct. comes to New Symrna each February with one goal in mind:Winning!The John Blewett III Memorial 50 lapper for Tour Type Modifieds was one event T.C. wanted bad.The3rd Annual edition will go down in the books as another win for Ted and his J.B.'s Fish Camp,ShoeCity Troyer.The feature was a barnburner from the drop of the green flag with great racing all thoughtthe pack.When the checkered flag flew Christopher roared under the stripe with Chuck Hossfeld in 2ndplace followed by James Civali in 3rd with Rowan Pennick in 4th place.Christopher and his team have beenworking hard all week long preparing for Friday night's 25th Annual Richie Evans Memorial.T.C. thankedhis Joe Brady Lead crew,his fans and his new European Shock Company from victory lane.Todd Allen held off Kirk Hooker to win the 25 lap Limited Late Model feature.These drivers went at ittooth and nail all night long! Ben Kennedy came home in 3rd place in the highly competitive division.The winner of the Super Late Model Feature was Fl.hotshoe B.J. McLeod who came under the stripein front of David Rogers,Kevin Ingram,Jack Landis and A.J.Curreli.Jeff Choquette and Tim Russell wereDQ'ed after running 1 and 2 as the tire soaking scandal continues!The Fl. Modified division feature was a 50 affair and Jason Boyd finally got the monkey off his back.Boyd dominated the event on his way to victory lane.Tank Tucker finished in the runner up spot followedJerry Symons and Travis Eddy.Boyd thanked his family and crew and fans and ended the week on ahigh note! Tank Tucker is your 2010 World Series Fl. Modified Champ.Congrats! to Tank and his crew.The ASA/Crate Motor Late Model feature winner was Canadian speedster Patrick Laperle from Quebec.Laperle held off Brandon Johnson and Dustin Delaney to visit victory lane.Patrick thanked his sponsors,crew and fans after his great run.The SK Modified feature was a wild affair! Keith Rocco was the victor after 20 laps of beating and bangingwith Ronnie Silk.Rocco pitted early with damage,repaired the car,never lost a lap and roared from 7th tothe lead in less than a lap!The action packed 1/2 mile runs again tomorrow night.The racing is fast and furious at New SymrnaSpeedway located 15 miles south of Daytona Beach on state road 44.By the Grace of GOD and 600horsepower,hope to see you at the races!
