Ron Silk Doubles Up At New Smyrna Speedway

Ron Silk,Milford,Ct.doubled up at New Smyrna Speedway winning both the Tour Type Modified

feature and the SK Modified feature Thursday night.Silk had his Tour Type Machine in the wind

and held off Chuck Hossfeld to grab his 2nd victory of the week.The feature was action packed

with numerous positions swapping as the competitor's diced it up.James Civali in the Coors Light

Hillbilly Racing modified came under the stripe in 3rd place with Eric Goodall and Bobby Grigas III

rounding out the top 5 positions.Silk thanked his crew,his car owner,family and friends from victory

lane.

The Super Late Model feature winner was Merritt Island,Fl. driver Brian Finney.Finney held off

Justin Drawdy to grab his 1st World Series victory of the week.Jeff Choquette made it thur tech to

come home in 3rd place with David Rogers and B.J.McLeod running in 4th and 5th place when

the 50 lap feature ended.Brian thanked his crew,family and fans from victory circle.

The Limited Late Model 50 lap feature was won by Chad Akins who held off 14 year old Anthony

Sergi and David Weaver.Carl Thomas and Derrick Wood roared under the waving checkered flag

in 4th and 5th place.

The 25 lap SK Modified feature winner was Ron Silk.Silk drove his T.S. Haulers machine to victory

over Patrick Emerling and Jimmy Zacharias.Dave Cranmer and Rob Schutlz rounded out the top 5

positions.

The Pro Trucks made their 1st appearance of the 2010 World Series with T.J.Duke winning the

25 lap feature event.Daniel Reeves and Christopher Huntoon ran 2nd and 3rd with Bruce Bennett

and Jessica Murphy rounding out the top 5 positions.

The 50 lap ASA/Crate Motor Late Model feature winner was Sean Bass with Austin Kirkpatrick

and Patrick Laperle from Canada rounding out the top 3 finishers.

Mother nature has won 2 nights during the 9 nights of action already and Friday's forecast is showing

rain again!The Richie Evans Memorial 100 lapper for Tour Type Mods and the Pete Orr Memorial 100

lapper for the Super Late Models will both be run on Saturday night if Mother Nature grabs the
