This car belonged to Red's and Hoss Kagle and driven by both everywhere. This is the year Red's was hurt at Charlotte so he never drove past 5-30-61 until 1968 at Hershey Park in Jimmy Hahn's Car.

Hi Michael and Mike- Great shot ! That race at Reading on Sep 16th would have been a Nascar Eastern Late Model race won by Jim Reed in a 61 Chevy. We covered that race, and all the other Eastern Late Model races (1960-62) on Racing Thru History here on RacersReunion back in the Summer. Do you have any other photos from that race. Who was driving the #88 that day? I don't see Hoss Kagle's name in the 14 car run down, but there is also very limited information for this race, and most of the other ELM races.

Hey Jack, I do not have any photos and If Hoss was not listed I don't know for sure who drove this day. I was only 8 years old at this point an I did not know about this race. Istarted following Red's every weekin the 1964 season with Johnny Roberts diving at Dorsey, Lincoln and Marlboro.I know at some point Francis Yates bought this car and I saw him race it at Marlboro Speedway in 1964. That's the last of what I know about This car. Jack, I like the finishes you post, keep them coming. Thanks, Mike

Michael- Here is the race results from the Reading Eastern Late Model race. There were 3 cars that day that did not start the race, so Kagle's car may have been one of those. I do historic race results every Tuesday night right here on Racing Thru History - Hope you can tune in.
