If you notice there is no air wrench changing tires, NASCAR did not allow the use of air wrenches during national championship races in the LMS division in 1977, I think it was also in force for 1978. I never did understands why NASCAR did this BUT the guys who changed these tires became very quick with the new style of tire changes, which suprised the heck mout of me, If someone knows NASCAR and their infinite wisdom why this was a rule let me know.

I remember this photo from SCR magazine. If you look at Morgan, you'll see him desperately motioning to change the front tire. (I believe that Don Biederman of Canada won the race.)
