Hi gang! I was switching the channel between Speed and Espn this morning. i was watching NASCAR Now and i heard the most outrageous comment about victory totals in my life. the statement was that since Kyle Bush won the Nationwide race at Kentucky last night he has 51 victories in NASCAR's 3 top series and his win total puts him ahead of Jumior Johnson!!!!!! WHAT?????????? since when does NASCAR include wins in the Nationwide and truck series in a drivers total for Cup wins? If that is the case I think Bobby Allisons total is misisng about 75 and certainly Waltrip's Eanhardt's Donnie Allison, Mark Martin, and then if this is the case where are Sam Ard, Jack ingram, Sonny Hutchin's Roy Hendrick, Ritchie Evans? Wahs fair is fair if the guys on NASCAR Now are going to have a new way of counting they should include everyone, not just the elite ??? of the cup series. Kyle has about 20 cup wins? how the hell does that put him ahead of Johnson by including his wins in truck and nationwide seires? Maybe i am making a big deal out of nothing BUT I do not think so. There statement and way of counting is totally offbase and show no respect for the GREAT drivers that came before these 'pretty boys" My jaw just dropped when i heard that, I mean right is right, if they do that for Kyle bush they should do that for all, for instance Mark Martin has 33 or so busch victories they don't say that about him, it is just another reason i have disliked "ASSCAR" since 1981! Too little fun, too much commercialism, too much BS, and not enough respect for their roots! If i have offended anyone i apologize and don't forget drivers like Harry Gant, Butch Lindley,Dave Dion, JP Cabana and more their name should be on the rolls if the other series wins are included in driver' totals. Including truck and nationwide wins in a cup driver's total and then says he has passed Junior Johnson is total BS!!!!!!!!! JMHO

Gentlemen, those of us here in the South are WELL aware of how the history book can be re-written. There was no Civil War because there was no uprising in the streets, there was no War Between the States as States did not fight each other. But, there was a War for Southern Independence. NASCAR is doing exactly what the liberal Federal Government has been been doing for over a century, simply pounding on inaccurate information. By doing this enough the statistics are simply re-written, especially when you have a "me" fan base made up of individuals who are doing nothing more than experiencing a fad. Well, the fad is fading fast. But, you know what? The history is not going to be re-written about this wonderful sport because of places like RacersReunion and events that are beginning to take place across the South ain places like Hillsboro, Columbia, North Wilkesboro, Dawsonville, Augusta and soon to be Myrtle Beach. And, more will come!

These kind of topics get me excited and also make me mad as Hell. I hate any kind of hypocrisy and when NASCAR turns up the heat by trying to re-write stock car racing history it get my goat kicked into high gear.Several years back the Augusta International Raceway Preservation Society (AIRPS) began putting together the idea of a Motorsports Heritage Sanctioning Body (MHSB) to address things just as we are discussing and doing it in an organized manner by coordinating the different Vintage/Historic groups and events. By doing so we could unite and build numbers to address things like "re-writing" the history books. I am not sure when or if such an organization will come together but I am telling everyone one thing! RacersReunion is the beginning of that concept. I personally and our group is excited about what is taking place here and topics like the one being discussed is going to light a lot of fires in people's butts and get this togetherness into high gear with enough people to make a difference. Hell, NASCAR does not need to take to modern day drivers about what is wrong with stock car racing. All NASCAR needs to do is "bookmark" RacersReunion and the other Vintage/Historic sites.

I too am sick of the media craming kyle Bush down my throat. He will never out do Junior Johnson in my book. He won lots of races before nascar; outrunning the law with moonshine in the trunk to put food on his famlie's table . Why not include those races too? By the way no need too destroy anymore guitars "Kyle", rock stars aren't homly.

Paul, I heard that comment the other night as well and had the same reaction as you.. It just drives me nuts sometimes to hear some of the crap they come up with .. Like" Richard Petty was a 7 time Sprint cup champion"... Bull !!! he was a 7 time Winston cup champion.. Its a part of the history of NASCAR so lets not forget the people and and sponsors that got NASCAR where they are today.. and they need to stop comparing the drivers today with the ones 30-50 years ago its just not the same.. I'd love to see the top 25 drivers of today race 500 miles in a car from the 60s or 70s ...that would be a laugh!! JMO

#*)^#!!!!####***&&&^^%%$$ damn goof ball reporters are all kissing up to asscar to keep in their good graces. You put the pansies of today in the 50s or 60s race cars under the same conditions and only 6 or so could drive the 500 miles. Thanks to RR for keeping the real history of stock car racing alive. Thanks to all of the real men of racing for treading the way so that these pansies can have these multi-million doolar contracts. Hell yes I feel better.

Just look at the empty seats at CASHCAR events, they're empty and CASHCAR blames it on the economy....Nooooo, those seats were empty a year before the economy collapsed, and one year before the economy collapsed the Dow Jones hit an all time record high. No, you can't blame empty seats on the economy, you can blame it on lack of interest but CASHCAR tries to cover that up as well. Oh, by the way, George W was President with the Dow hit an all time high but did the media ever mention that? Noooo, but they were quick to blame "W" when it fell. The media was bucking for Hussein Obama, and CASHCAR is bucking for the biggest "loser" CASHCAR has ever seen, Kyle Bush. Bush is a disgrace.

Tim, I'm just a modest guy with modest views, I don't want to sound too radical but thanks for asking. I heard the interview Sam Bass gave after Kyle smashed Sam's art work and he wasn't too pleased. If that wasn't the lowest form of celebration I don't know what is? Bush could have mooned the fans and it would paled in comparison to smashing the trophy. If thats what Bush wants to make his trademark he's going to find his souvenir sales drop like hotcakes.

Gentlemen, If I may comment...as it relates to Mr. Bass and other recent remarks, it all boils down to self discipline and respect. Respect for yourself and others. Busch appears to lack both qualities.

Robbie, 101.1 radio in morning did a long segment on the reaction to Bush's display of pure disrespect and in the radio segment they had a clip of Sam Bass being asked what he thought about it. He said when he walked up to Bush, Bush said "I meant no disrespect Mr. Bass." Sam went on to say how many hours it took to paint the guitar...over 100 hours and each one is a work of art, unique, and painted with passion and honor. It took Bush only a moment to destroy it. I also heard Gibson Guitars wasn't very too happy either.
