This 1957 Chevrolet convertible is shown by the Old Timers Racing Club since 1994 and is owned by Randy Welborn. Bob Welborn pulled this car out of the woods with the help of friends and fixed this car.He was a great driver and a good man. He was the convertible champion in 1956-1957-1958 can you imagine getting in these cars and running on tracks at brake neck speed. They were both daring and brave men to risk their lives for little or no money. They races because they loved it and for bragging rights. We miss Bob Welborn and drivers like him. This car will be put into the Nascar hall of fame in Charlotte NC for its grand opening to honor Bob.
