Randy I do believe you are right on with the year and place...J.V. was a top competitor who won a few races against Dean Combs, Larry and Ricky Pearson, Roger Hamby, Mickey York, and Nelson Gusler among others. He raced a Vega prior to building this Monza and myself and a good friend purchasedthatVega from himin 1976..He later went to work for Junior Johnson in the engine dept.
