Ray, did you notice that Elliott was mis-spelled on the Million Dollar Bill?

Yes Pete, the story is that they had the banner all made up with the correct spelling, but the whole load of 1 mill made up with incorrect spelling (they always got his name wrong anyways) So when they dropped the bills from a plane, one of the Winston reps saw this and was embarrassed, he apologized to Bill (I don't he cared that much, hey, he just won won $1 mill!) Anyway...Winston got permission from Nascar to drop corrected bills at the Atlanta race because it was Elliott's home track. He won that race to put the icing on the cake!I've got one of the corrected ones, yes the "One T'ed bill is more collectible, but still, it's part of history!

One of my friends has a bill with the mis-spelled name on it. This is a cool piece of history I know he treasures. Thanks Cody for the history lesson. I didn't know that!Pete
