Andy Granatelli tried to give Richard an Italian kiss in victory lane at Daytona for 1973. Richard was not into recieving a smacker from Granatelli and pulled away real quick.
Luck was with Richard on this day as he was playing a tire game with Buddy Baker who had a better car but Buddy's Dodge lost an engine in the closing laps as Richard wiped his brow and cruised to his 4th Daytona 500 win.
