Bobby didn't finish high enough in his twin to transfer this Buick to the 500. His car owner and fellow driver, D.K. Ulrich, ran a second #40 car - a Chevy - in the 2nd twin. D.K. made the show. But from what I can tell, he changed cars and ran the Buick in the 500 vs. the Chevy.
