I know Robert, I was having fun with this picture. It's from 1972-early 1973 anddefinitelyJoy Fair. This was a wicked fast Camaro and put Joy in the hospital for several weeks in 1973. When this car was destroyed, the 4 door Maverick was built and raced by Joe Ruttman in 1973 until Joy could heal.

yep your right i remember my dad telling me about this camaro and his falcon he almost lost his life at mt.clemons in the eightys as well but as always came back too race pete

Robert, there is a great story and account of Joy's wreck at Mt. Clemens by Dennis Schalm on the Joy Fair fan page on Racers Reunion. It's in the discussion section and Dennis talks about the accident and Joy's recovery. It was also at the time when Joy was building his V6 Cavalier for ARCA and is part of the story. Check it out.
