Dear Ron,I don't know.Could it have been when he was feuding with Nascar and he painted it black being the bad guy?Richie and Mr.DeWitt didn't even know me and invited me to eat with them once at Martinsville.Great photo for the 25th anniversary tomorrow.R.I.P.Mr.Richie.

Here is the answer to the question as to where....Dad (Richie) won a 200 lap race at Lancaster Speedway in 1976, the car was a black #61 primer not paint. This is from Richie Evans Jr.

This is a Johnny Mercury photo of Richie Evans taken at Seekonk Speedway in 1979. I actually have the program of him on the over in victory lane after the race. It was an open show. This car was not black but for some reason the negative is dark with the car only. I have an original photo of this same picture that I purchased for $1 from the photo booth when I was a kid.Brad
