Don Naman asked me if I could get Bud Moore to donate this car from Dale's Pocono crash with Tim Richmond to use as a display at Talladega's International Motorsports Hall of Fame. Bud said, "NO WAY."

Dave - do you know what was behind Bud's flat out rejection? Fixed the car and raced it again? Didn't want to display a car that could have had a truly bad outcome? Didn't want certain parts of his build on display for others to carefully study?

There was an NASCAR driver, who claimed that he had the rebuilted wrecked #1 Billy Wade Mercury race car?
He also claimed that had driven it in NASCAR races?
He had an website and was mad at NASCAR for not having an medical insurance plan to take care down and out NASCAR race drivers hurt while racing?
He was asking for free McDonald's hamburgers coupons?
I lost his website and name?

Chase, Bud didn't want any part of his wrecked car being displayed after losing Joe Weatherly and Billy Wade in his cars. Last time I saw that car it was behind Bud's shop. Don Naman did put the car that Phil Parsons barrel rolled n Talladega's turn 1 on display in the IMHOF.
