The pride of Southington, Connecticut. A friend and a mentor. It was always special when he showed up at Chassis Dynamics. This is one of the greatest in modified racing.

He taught all the Virginia drivers/car owners how to build light weight modifieds when he, Denny Zimmerman and Red Foote came down as the "Eastern Bandits" to race at Richmond's Southside Speedway on Friday nights in the early 60s. After getting their cars built like the Flemke mods, the 4-H Boys from Richmond (Ray Hendrick, Sonny Hutchins, Runt Harris & Ted H airfield) were about unbeatable everywhere they went.
