Description
Dave MacDonald finished 10th in the 1964 Daytona 500. This was Dave's first and only appearance in the Daytona 500 as he would lose his life three months later in the Indianapolis 500. MacDonald's teammates at Daytona were NASCAR stars Freddy Lorenzen & Darel Dieringer. Dieringer finished 7th and combined with Dave's 10th place showing, Bill Stroppe Racing was the only team to place two drivers in the top ten. Richard Petty dominated this race and picked up his first of SEVEN Daytona 500 victories.The 1964 Daytona 500 featured a number of world class championship drivers.
