We remember them really well. They are among our favorites. Bobby is a member and has been interviewed by us several times....Donny, too. Bobby's interviews can be found on the TV and Radio pages. I traveled all the way to dega to do an interview with Red at the short track...got rained out.

A couple of my favorite memories are meeting Bobby years ago and watching him and Davey finish 1-2 at the 88 Daytona 500.

Interesting piece in Donnie's book where he talks about the origin of the phrase by Bob Harmon and how he feels that the Alabama Gang is really him, Bobby and Red and that everyone else that has been mentioned in that context really shouldn't be including Davey and Neil. It was the original three that were the ones that were named that way and did all the barnstorming and race winning back in those formative early 60s years at Birmingham, Montgomery and all those other great Alabama and southern short tracks where those guys did their winning. However you count the official members, they are definitley my favourite gang ever
