Drifting turns at high speed, watching some out of control doughnuts and the occasional crashes are all part of the action when it comes to the 1/4 mile oval dirt track.
Races are held once a month, and with seven different classes to race in.
There are two entry-level classes, the front wheel and rear wheel bomber class.
For the seasoned veterans, a Four Cylinder Stock class, a V-8 stock class, a V-8 Modified class, a Mini Modified class and a Winged Sprint class.
The race events are "governed by the drivers", members of the Hilo Motor Speedway Association through their Board of Directors. If you wanna go fast and go race and have fun, this is the place to do it.
Gates open 8:00 am. Racing starts 10:30 am. weather permitting .
General Admission $6.00. Children 12 and under FREE. Pit Pass Band $5.00
